Elaine Trinder: BA (Hons) Dip TP, MRTPI
Elaine is a Chartered Town Planner with over 30 years of wide ranging planning experience in both the public and private sector having worked in local authorities in Hertfordshire and Berkshire. She joined DLA in 2007 and specialises in planning appeals and sunlight and daylight reports.
Graeme Free: BSc (Hons) MA, MRTPI
Graeme originally joined DLA in 2006 and has recently returned to the firm following an overseas sabbatical. He is a Chartered Town Planner and has successfully delivered a range of planning permissions for DLA's clients covering commercial and residential projects. Graeme also co-ordinates the strategic promotion of land for development through the statutory planning system. One of Graeme's most enjoyable projects was working on an application for a pyrotechnic company to achieve planning permission for a workshop, fusing shed and storage facility in the Green Belt.
Helen Hunter: Bsc (Hons) BTP, MRTPI
Helen is an experienced Chartered Town Planner with over 25 years of public service / private practice in both strategic planning and development delivery. She joined DLA in 1995. Her experience is wide ranging and clients include local authorities, waste transfer operators, major house builders through to religious groups and individual householders. She is also responsible for the promotion of land for development through the statutory development plan system.
Rowland Sillito: BA (Hons), Dip TP, MRTPI
Rowland joined DLA in 1995 as a newly qualified town planner and subsequently gained membership of the RTPI. He now runs DLA's southern office in the Isle of Wight. He has previously worked for the Community Development Agency for Hertfordshire and has specialist knowledge of rural issues, having a degree in Countryside Planning. Rowland specialises in the preparation of evidence to support planning applications, appeals and development plan representations and cites the challenge of justifying the contentious and controversial as his professional highlight.
Sasha Gosine: BA (Hons), Dip TP, MRTPI
Sasha is a Chartered Town Planner with over 20 years of experience of providing advice and direction to large scale developers and householders alike. Her experience is in both the public sector and the private practice. She joined DLA in 2005. Sasha provides key town planning advice in securing planning consents as well as the negotiation of planning applications and submission of appeals. Her clients include major house builders and leading UK retailers as well as small scale developers, and individual companies, organisations and householders. She would say her planning highlights are, "Anytime I get to tell the client they have won."
Mark Williams: BA (Hons) MA MRTPI
Mark is a Chartered Town Planner who joined DLA in 2003 and has gained his masters degree whilst with DLA. His experience is wide ranging, covering all aspects of the firms commercial and residential projects. Mark is also responsible for promoting, through the statutory plan system the allocation of land for development. Mark enjoys the particular challenges of finding solutions for and achieving planning permissions on constricted sites.
Mike Lake: MSc, DipTP, MRTPI
Mike is a Chartered Town Planner with over 20 years of experience in both public and private practice. He has specialised experience in tourism planning, holding a Masters Degree in that field. Mike has been Principal Associate at DLA since 2000 and works closely with property developers, landowners, retailers and local authorities to secure planning permission for housing, retail, leisure, and other commercial development projects. His forte is the negotiation and delivery of major development projects from inception through to the securing of planning permission.
David Lane: BSc (Hons), Dip TP, Dip TP, MRTPI, FRSA
David is a Chartered Town Planner with over 35 years of experience in planning in the public and private sectors, having worked in local authorities in Hertfordshire and Wiltshire. He is Principal and Owner of DLA Town Planning Ltd which he established in 1989. He has extensive experience across all aspects of planning work and a proven track record of delivery of major projects. His recent past and current workload includes:-
Whilst David and the practice will always negotiate pre and post submission on any scheme, nevertheless David is well used to acting as an expert witness at public inquiries.
David is also a board member of Cherry Tree Housing Association.
