Simon Andrews: BSc (Hons), MPhil TP, MRTPI
Simon is a Chartered Town Planner with over 16 years' experience. Simon has held senior positions in a number of local authorities producing local plan documents and strategies and has twice led teams in successfully producing sound Development Plan Documents. He has particular experience in housing matters, including housing land supply assessments and demographic projections. Simon has recently joined DLA to develop its strategic planning work advising clients on strategic housing projects with both short- and long-term horizons.
Vicki Davies: BA (Hons) Dip TP, MRTPI
Vicki joined DLA in 2015 after over 12 years in Local Authority positions, in both County and Unitary Authorities. She is a Chartered Town Planner and during her time working for Local Planning Authorities has gained experience of Minerals and Waste Planning, Reg 3 planning with a particular focus on schools and a wide range of residential, commercial and retail application scenarios. Vicki has been the lead officer for Gypsy and Traveller applications and dealt with planning applications and section 106 agreements for an urban extension of 2500 dwellings. She particularly enjoys balancing the constraints of a site to get the best result possible.
Elaine Trinder: BA (Hons) Dip TP, MRTPI
Elaine is a Chartered Town Planner with over 30 years of wide ranging planning experience in both the public and private sector having worked in local authorities in Hertfordshire and Berkshire. She joined DLA in 2007 and specialises in planning appeals and sunlight and daylight reports.
Helen Hunter: Bsc (Hons) BTP, MRTPI
Helen is an experienced Chartered Town Planner with over 25 years of public service / private practice in both strategic planning and development delivery. She joined DLA in 1995. Her experience is wide ranging and clients include local authorities, waste transfer operators, major house builders through to religious groups and individual householders. She is also responsible for the promotion of land for development through the statutory development plan system.
Sally Styles: BSc (Hons), Dip TP, MRTPI
Sally is a Chartered Town Planner with over 17 years' experience working in both the private and public sectors. She joined DLA in 2014 having previously worked for planning consultancies in London and also as a Lead Planning Officer at Dacorum Borough Council. Sally provides town planning advice to clients in preparing feasibility studies, submitting and negotiating planning applications and leading S106 discussions. She has advised institutional and major PLC clients as well as house builders, landowners and developers and has worked on a wide range of planning projects including major mixed use, residential and commercial schemes.
Sasha Gosine: BA (Hons), Dip TP, MRTPI
Sasha is a Chartered Town Planner with over 20 years of experience of providing advice and direction to large scale developers and householders alike. Her experience is in both the public sector and the private practice. She joined DLA in 2005. Sasha provides key town planning advice in securing planning consents as well as the negotiation of planning applications and submission of appeals. Her clients include major house builders and leading UK retailers as well as small scale developers, and individual companies, organisations and householders. She would say her planning highlights are, "Anytime I get to tell the client they have won."
Mark Williams: BA (Hons) MA MRTPI
Mark is a Chartered Town Planner who joined DLA in 2003 and has gained his masters degree whilst with DLA. His experience is wide ranging, covering all aspects of the firms commercial and residential projects. Mark is also responsible for promoting, through the statutory plan system the allocation of land for development. Mark enjoys the particular challenges of finding solutions for and achieving planning permissions on constricted sites.
Mike Lake: MSc, DipTP, MRTPI
Mike is a Chartered Town Planner with over 20 years of experience in both public and private practice. He has specialised experience in tourism planning, holding a Masters Degree in that field. Mike has been Principal Associate at DLA since 2000 and works closely with property developers, landowners, retailers and local authorities to secure planning permission for housing, retail, leisure, and other commercial development projects. His forte is the negotiation and delivery of major development projects from inception through to the securing of planning permission.
David Lane: BSc (Hons), Dip TP, Dip TP, MRTPI, FRSA
David is a Chartered Town Planner with over 35 years of experience in planning in the public and private sectors, having worked in local authorities in Hertfordshire and Wiltshire. He is Principal and Owner of DLA Town Planning Ltd which he established in 1989. He has extensive experience across all aspects of planning work and a proven track record of delivery of major projects. His recent past and current workload includes:-
Whilst David and the practice will always negotiate pre and post submission on any scheme, nevertheless David is well used to acting as an expert witness at public inquiries.
David is also a board member of Cherry Tree Housing Association.
