Beaumont Road, St Albans
This application involved the conversion and restoration of the Grade II listed Beaumont Works in Sutton Road, St Albans to residential use, with limited demolition and the erection of two new residential buildings to provide a total of 58 dwellings.
The proposals provide the Listed Building with a long-term secure future as well as providing much needed housing within the town. Alongside the conversion, new, modern apartment buildings will complete the streetscape. A comprehensive landscaping scheme incorporating car parking and a range of amenity spaces will enhance this corner of St Albans.
